Housed in a building which opened as a Wesleyan Methodist Church in 1839. In 1844 the fifteen year old lad who would grow up to found the Salvation Army, William Booth, dedicated his life to God in the chapel on Broad Street. The building now houses not only the Broadway Theatre, but a Media Centre which provides training in film and production as well as quality screenings. The Broadway also has unique screenings for carers and babies, children with Autism, adults with learning difficulties and senior citizens. They also welcome volunteer groups who work with excluded people who want to showcase their work in a public space.

Chapter is one of Europe's largest and most dynamic arts complexes, and includes 3 theaters, 2 cinemas, a gallery, several studios, over 60 cultural workspaces, a café and two award-winning bars! They are open 7 days a week and admission is free. They offer a remarkable combination of live performance, films and exhibitions from Wales and from around the world. The flagship for contemporary arts in Wales Chapter is one of the largest complexes of its kind in Europe.

Metro Cinema opened on Green Lane in January 1981, at the original site of the Derby Central School of Art, now part of the University of Derby. Metro is a registered charity, and one of a national network of Independent Cinemas, showcasing inspiring, quality independent and art films from around the world in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Voted the UK's Best Independent Cinema by Guardian readers, Showroom is one of the biggest independent cinemas in the UK. They showcase a wide range of independent, art, and classic films and related activity, as well as hosting multiple film festivals annually for Sheffield and the surrounding area.

Media Centre in Bristol, UK housing three cinemas, a café and bar, and a suite of conferencing spaces. Watershed's cinemas bring world moving image culture to local audiences, while the center also hosts Futurelab, UWE eMedia and Encounters Short Film Festival.
