From its inception in 1925 as a silent movie house the Hillsboro Theater the Belcourt has been in use as a theater of one kind or another. Now it is run by a not for profit group dedicated to the preservation and successful operation of The Belcourt Theatre in its historical roles as a home for film, theatre and music. The Belcourt showcases the finest in independent and foreign film not easily found elsewhere in the Nashville area.
