Built in 1926 as a vaudeville and film palace, the theater was restored to it's former glory in 1998 to the tune of 2.6 million dollars. The region's only "art house" cinema the Fargo presents first-run independent and foreign films, along with classics dating back to the days when the first silent films played in the same auditorium. The Mighty WurliTzer organ rises from the pit each weekend for live intermission music, provided by the American Theatre Organ Society.
